Our 2026 Events

  • Our Easter-Themed bar hop was an egg-cellent start to the mid-trimester holidays (forgive our puns). We hopped down Chapel Street from bar to bar, having drinks, making friends and making the most of our fantastic drink deals and the dance floor!

  • Speedfriending was great fun, full of exciting games including our classic tug-of-war challenge, heads and tails

  • We packed our snacks and charged our cameras to head down to one of Victoria’s most iconic stretches of road for some gorgeous ocean views 🌊, sweet treats [chocolaterie!! 🍫] and some seriously unreal scenery. 📸

    We stopped at multiple iconic landmarks: 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and more, taking tons of photos along the way!

  • Our Deck & Connect Night was all about bringing people together over classic card games whether they preferred a more competitive game of poker, or relaxed game of UNO and many in-between!

    We set up a pizza station, along with a sweet treats and snacks area so everyone could play the night away!

  • UPCOMING EVENT!!!:

    This is your chance to switch off and have some fun! Set by the beach, St Kilda is the perfect spot to let loose after weeks of study 🌊

Our Past Events (Prior to ‘26)

  • Speed-friending in T2 was a chill, easy way to break the ice between people in the holidays, filled with games, fun and prizes, we celebrated the holidays starting with some great chats!

  • Snow much fun awaited us (sorry, had to make a pun) at Mt Buller! We had massive snowball fights, made snow angels and had a tight competition on the most creative snowman creation (with prizes of course!!)

  • We lived out our old money fantasies during our ball collaboration with DCSS, DPRES and DCS at San Remo Ballroom, dancing the night away, having delicious multi-course meals and making the most of the Photo Booth!!

  • Our Melbourne Central Bar Crawl was full of drinks flowing and high energy 🔥

    We shot across multiple bars (see my pun there ;P ), appreciating drink deals and celebrating a break from uni!

  • We had a lovely trip down to Phillip Island, trekking across the beach, hiking through the beautiful nature on the island and seeing the cutest animals like wallabies, penguins and even an echidna!

  • We were back at it again with activities, prizes, archery, tug-of-war, a scavenger hunt and heaps of fun and food!

  • Picture this: a cozy bus ride up into a magical winter wonderland, where the mountains were blanketed in fresh, fluffy snow. We embarked on a small, scenic trek, soaking in the breathtaking views and crisp mountain air, then dove into snowball fights, building snowmen and making unforgettable snow angels.

  • We had our first Speedfriending event ever! It was a huge success filled with free food, chats and games!

  • We watched A Ticket to Paradise 🎥, in collaboration with DUSA and Deakin Writers Club, as we celebrated Pride Week! 🏳️‍🌈

  • We had an unforgettable day trip to Cape Schanck in Mornington Peninsula! 🚍✨ Organized by Deakin Social Club in collaboration with Deakin Chinese Students Society, we had an adventure-packed itinerary of visiting Cape Schanck, taking group photos at the iconic lighthouse 📸🏞️, having a lunch break with breathtaking views, 🥾 trekking to the Pulpit Rocks for stunning panoramas and then 🏖️ wrapping up the day at Black Rock Beach & Angel Cave Lookout while enjoying our snacks!

  • We indulged our sweet tooth as we got ready for an unforgettable evening of desserts, delightful company and games at San Churros!

  • Our Volleyball event turned up the heat and got everyone’s spirits soaring during U-belong week! Our free event let people try out Volleyball with us!

  • We spent the afternoon doing some fluid art therapy over cups of coffee and got to express our creative sides!

  • Self-care week concluded in the most perfect way with our Hiking Event collab with Deakin Enviro Club at the Kokoda Memorial Walk (1000 Steps). It was truly an awesome event with a fantastic turnout of amazing people!

    We had an additional stroke of luck with the perfect weather, which was the cherry on top of an already great experience.

  • We all connected during our social chats event, grabbing a cup of coffee to energise our endless convos!

  • We collaborated with DUSA DTV to host a self-care night, watching Crazy Rich Asians [2018] (who can resist a good rom-com) while snacking on popcorn and pizza in a cinematic setting!

  • Our event filled with prizes, meeting new people and getting to explore campus together!
