Nervous about trying out for a committee or executive position? We’ve got you!

Here are our hot tips on how to not only stand out, but also show us why you’d be the perfect candidate for the role!

  1. Make sure you learn about the executive team beforehand, every year, we have posts up about our team members so make sure to check out who is in what position (e.g., Seb for President, Alina for Vice President)

  2. Check out the events we have done in the past or are currently involved in, it’s important to understand what events you will be expected to be involved in, in the future!

  3. Ensure you match the position description; are there any skills you think you could improve on? Could you ask if you would be happy to be considered for any position aside from the one you applied for?

  4. Be on time to your interview!

  5. Try to have 1-2 questions ready if possible to ask us during the interview, it’s all good if you don’t but it can show us that you really are interested in the position and learning more about us as a club!

  6. Make sure you will be able to uphold club commitments! We value excellent communication and honesty and this position is not just a resume-filler, please make sure you are able to be involved and be transparent about if you cannot come to events.
